“I am Kerrie “Buttercup” Fahey, and I have been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2017. I am a member of the Latter Day Saints (Mormon) as well as an employee at Anthem. I love Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and I will continue to train until I can do so no longer. With my 14 year old daughter Alaina Nicole Quillin passing away from suicide on April 1st, 2019, I have struggled with coping with her death. Her struggles with depression had taken their toll on my sweet little girl. Suffering from depression, borderline personality disorder, and anxiety myself, I do all that I must to honor my daughter. As a Mental Health Advocate, I aim to raise Suicide awareness and help those who suffer from their own mental health issues. I am amazed and humbled that Wendy Jarva and SicChic have been there for me in my time of greatest need.”
